We have a scooter!!

I can't believe it but Will is scooting on his back across the floor! I already have to watch him!! If you lay him on the ground, or any surface for that matter, he pushes himself across the floor. He started doing this on Sunday. It is funny because he loves being under his jungle gym but the minute he scoots himself off of it he starts to get upset since he isn't under the lights anymore. What a little stinker :) It sure makes me eat lunch a little faster now;) I will try to get a video of it and post it. He has also started to arch his back and stiffening his legs when he is mad or you are doing a diaper change. Woot! He still loves diaper changes though. It is when he smiles and giggles the most. He also has started to blow raspberries with his mouth. His daddy can really get him going. It is so cute and makes Jake and I smile. He has also loves being outdoors. We have taken him to 2 garden shows and he loves them. We stick him in the Snuggli and he is good to go! The picture is taken at the Jenks Herb Fest this past weekend. Will is such a cutie!

Happy Birthday to me!!

Well my 28th Birthday was on Tuesday. Wow!! I had a great day with my family. My husband took off from work and we hung out all day. The zoo was the first stop we made and it was a blast. Of course though, we picked the day that all the area schools took their fieldtrip to the zoo so kids were everywhere!! It was still fun. They have this new exhibit this year where you get these little sticks with birdseed on them and you go into this netted room to feed the birds. We got to do that and it is my new favorite thing to do there :) For dinner we went to Kilkenny's Irish Pub and got some good grub! I had a beer that was called a "Blacksmith", which was half Guiness and half Porter. It was actually really good. I will have to remember that the next time I go there. The food was good too - although I really liked that drink ;) Overall it was a good day. I got some good gifts and it got to spend time with my family. Happy Birthday to me :)

The One, The Only!!

William was born Feb 4, 2008. He weighed 8lbs 9oz and had red hair! I couldn't believe it. The first few months of his life have flown by. At his 2 month appt he weighed a whopping 12lbs 15oz already!! He is getting so big. The dr said he was in the 75% all around. He loves to smile and giggle and absolutely loves diaper changes. All you have to do is put him on his changing table and his face just lights up. It totally makes up for him being a member of the crap napper club :) He is already grabbing things with his hands, like toys or blankets or his mommy's hair. As of now he has blue eyes like his daddy. We are hoping they stay that way but you never know!!! I do have a funny story for you all. Last week we were getting ready for his 2 month appt and it was pretty early in the morning (well early for Will and I) and I was sitting with him in my lap trying to unzip his sleep sack. I would let go of him to go for the zipper and then he would try to roll out of my lap. I would of course grab him and he would just smile and giggle so again I try to go for the zipper and lo and behold he does it again. Now it was a game. He loved it. We did it like 4 times before I managed to actually get him out of the thing. It just made me smile and lifted my heart up. It is stuff like this that makes it worth it all. I love being a mom :)

So you wonder why I have created this blog? It is so I don't forget the little stuff my little man does - just stay tuned to learn all the antics of my beautiful son!!!
