The Beach

Zack, Kimmie, and their crew came down to our casa for some relaxing beach time. It was so much fun! The weather was absolutely perfect and it was some much needed and deserved rest for all of us. Leigh and Addison also joined us as well as Leigh's sister Lindsey. It was also much easier than I expected it to be and it is something that Jake and I will definitely do more often. Will absolutely LOVED the ocean. His grin when the waves splashed against his daddy was so precious - I don't think he stopped smiling the whole time.  I even got a "This is so fun" a couple of times from Will. Carolyn had fun too - she really liked to eat the sand.  Yum!  I am sure there is something nutritious in that right?!?  I love my family!

A little bit of home renovations!

We have lived in our house just at a year (wow - time has flown) and hadn't really done anything to make it "ours" if you know what I mean. We did paint Carolyn's room but that is it. Well, that all changed in the past few weeks! I absolutely LOVE what we did and can't wait to do more! What we did was got a new front door - our old one was nasty, I painted, changed the light fixture (well Jake did this) and redecorated the upstairs bathroom, and got a new faucet and light fixture for the half-bath downstairs. I am so extremely pleased with what we did!
