Craft room/Guest room is painted!

It only took almost 5 years but it is done!  I got a kick in the pants when it was time to get the beautiful heirloom bedroom set ;D We were having a DnD session and we had to get the room all put together to clear out the game room.  I got it painted and put together in 1 day and I love it! I won't show befores because it was a hot mess! I really think the old quilt that used to be my Granny's really made the room.  I am in love!

 I ended up moving the old bed into Charlie's room since the frame he used to have was really broken.  I ended up sanding and painting the foot board to get rid of all the lovely teeth marks from Carolyn :D He loves having a non-broken bed!

Mirror Maze

Man - I love Groupon! They had a discount for the Mirror Maze in the Mall of America.  Jake decided to stay home from work and I needed to exchange something at the mall so off we went!  It was fun - we all survived, but let me tell you, all those mirrors kind of made me nauseous.  Oh the joys of getting older!  We had a few points left for Nickelodeon Studios so we let the kids ride 2 rides.  Of course they went on the swing, but I was shocked when they picked the Spongebob ride!  It is a legit coaster with upside down parts and big drops!  Charlie was just barely big enough - like he was right on the line, so they let him on.  They loved it!  Will would definitely go again but I think the other 2 would wait a bit before trying again - lol.  It was fun!

Movie and Pedal Boat Time

The newly refurbed park in downtown Chaska added a couple of pedal boats to the lake.  On a whim, the kids and I decided to rent one!  It was fun once we got the bickering over who would pedal and where we would go all figured out.  I imagine we will do it again if the kids want to! Of course, before heading out to the park, we went to the movies to see Finding Dory and to check out the Prince mural. It is so beautiful!

 

 

 

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to an amazing guy!  We couldn't ask for a better person for my family! We spoiled him rotten with is fave breakfast - cinnamon rolls and eggs benedict.  He loved all his gifts too!  Carolyn painted him a picture while the boys picked out gaming stuff.  I got him a microphone for his video blogs he is doing. We went swimming at the Chaska Community Center and then we ate yummy grilled burgers.  For desert, Carolyn and I made a kentucky derby pie.  It was delicious! It was a perfect day!

 

 

Soccer Jamboree

It was a long hot day, but we survived!  The kids had fun and were sad soccer was over for the season.

Strawberry Picking

The day after we got home from Oklahoma, I took the kids strawberry picking! We ended up with 9lbs 2.6oz picked and that  all went into 25 jars of jam (strawberry ginger-ale, strawberry wine, and strawberry jalapeno), a pie, 2 fruit salads made by Carolyyn, and a small handful to eat.  They were delicious!
