Trick-or-Treat!

We ended up meeting up with one of our neighbors (they go to preschool with Will) and the kids had a blast!  They were so cute! It was hard to get good pictures of them because they wouldn't sit still and were too excited!  Oh well!  They also loved passing out the candy when they got home.  Carolyn gave out candy while Will oohed & aahed over all the costumes.  Charlie just talked to everyone.  So fun!
Getting ready to go!
Already trying to steal some candy!
Trick or Treat!
Daddy helping him out of the wagon
Couldn't wait to eat a sucker.
Getting some goodies
Getting them to be still was impossible!

Painting pumpkins

The kids got to paint their pumpkins today!  They had fun.  Charlie kept trying to sneak bites of the stem when I wasn't looking - the little stinker!  I think he put more paint on the table than on his pumpkin too.  The kids had fun!
All set up!

Arboretum Ghouls & Goblins

Today we ventured out to the Arboretum Halloween festivities.  The kids seemed to enjoy it.  We got to see some walking trails I had not seen before so that was nice.  My kids were the cutest in their little costumes! Carolyn also discovered she loves Whoppers as much as her Daddy :D  Me, not so much. The kids got fake tattoos and some ghosts painted on their faces and lots of candy - what more could they ask for!

Charlie is 18 months old!

We went to the doctor for his 18 month checkup and all is well!  He got his last set of shots until he starts Kindergarten so that is good.  He handled them well - just needed some mommy hugs :D  Although now every time he sees the mark on his leg from the shot he points to it and says boo-boo, ouch, hurt to anyone that will listen.  Poor guy! He is milking it for all its worth. He is such a goof.  Charlie weighs 32 lbs (96%) and is 35" tall (99%)!  No wonder he is in 2T-3T clothes!  Charlie knows a TON of words.  Jake and I tried to make a list the other day and we just gave up on it because it was so long.  He loves to jump and gets a good amount of air when he does.  He absolutely adores his sister and loves to go and wake her up in the morning by barging in her room saying "hi" over and over.  They sit and play in her room for the longest time.  It is seriously heart-warming.  Charlie also is really becoming a daddy's boy!  He stands on the bench and stares at the window saying "bye Daddy" until he can't see his truck anymore, and the squeals he gives when Daddy comes home is something else.  He just adores Jake.
Charlie is finally sleeping through the night!  YAY!!  It took him long enough to get the hang of it.  We are still nursing him - down to just twice a day - before nap and bedtime.  He occasionally asks for more like when he is teething for some comfort but that is it.  It is a much better improvement from asking to nurse every time I sat down.
We go back to the doctor when he turns 2.  I can't believe he is growing up so fast!

Vikings Game

Jake got us tickets to the Vikings game from work for last Sunday against the Titans.  This was the first time I left the kids with a babysitter that wasn't family.  That was hard but it was Kerridwyn and India so I knew they were in good hand.  I was so excited to go but hoped it was a better experience than the Dallas/Indie game we went to 6 years ago.  It ended up being so much fun!!  We tailgated some and just really enjoyed ourselves.  We saw some crazy outfits and cool cars.  I hope we get to go to some more games in the future.
We won!
