Happy 34th to me!!
I had a pretty good birthday yesterday! It was so good to get to chat with my brother and Aunt Nancy and to skype with Sandee and Bert! And of course all the facebook messages :D I had typical day of running the kids to and from school and then in the evening Jake and I had a 1st grade orientation for Will's new school next year. It was so informative and I am feeling less anxious for him to go to such a big school! The vG's were awesome to feed and watch our children so we could go! Good friends make all the difference. We enjoyed a glass of wine and chit-chatted when we were done. We got home super late so we immediately ate the boston cream pie poke cake that Charlie helped me make. We chatted with Bert and Sandee while we ate and they got to help the kids sing Happy Birthday to me. I love my in-laws! The cake was so good! I am now a fan of poke cakes. And then it was present time! I got some organization things that I have been wanting and then an awesome cheese fondue pot. I have been really wanting one so I am totally planning on having fondue for dinner on Friday :D. Jake also surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of flowers - I love that man! It was a nice day!

Easter 2014
We had an awesome day yesterday! Both Carolyn & Will proclaimed it as "the best Easter ever"! Will has been counting down the days until the Easter Bunny came :D We basically played outside all day long - Jake got the trampoline moved and reassembled, we dyed eggs on the patio, had an egg hunt, and just played played played - oh - and grilled delicious steak. We were all worn out!
Checking out the goodies!
Playing with her new Merida Legos!
Daddy's helper
Egg dyeing!
Me reminding Charlie to not drink the dye with the spoon - what a goof!
I even made Easter jell-o molds. The kids loved them!
Showing off his new space shuttle
Egg hunt:
The best I got with all three of them!
Grilling steak that went with the home-made apple pie I made :D

Charlie's 3 Year Doctor Visit
Charlie had his visit today with Dr. Humbert to see how he is doing - which is awesome!! He is 40.5" tall (97%) and weighs in at 40.6lbs (98%) - so basically he is a giant 3 year old - hahaha (even the doctor said how solid he was when he lifted him up to get a sticker)! He had his blood pressure taken for the first time today and he thought that was hysterical - I guess the cuff was tickling him when it was squeezing - he just giggled and giggled! He is hitting all of his milestones and can identify and sound out all the letters of the alphabet. He is our little monkey and still likes climbing onto and gets into everything! He sure keeps me on my toes. Charlie is my little snuggle bug though and is always saying "Mama, come give me snuggles on the couch". I never tell him no because I know it will only last so much longer! It is nice to finally have a cuddler - it took 3 kids to get one!
We did ask the doctor about Charlie's umbilical hernia because it is causing him pain at times when his little intestine gets stuck in it :( He felt around it (well he stuck his finger in his belly button and felt it that way) and could feel an anomaly so he is referring us to a pediatric surgeon to see about getting it fixed. It shouldn't be causing him pain at all. He did say though that at the consult, the surgeon may decide to wait longer to see if it closes on its own so we shall see! My poor little guy!! Charlie is all up to date on his shots so none this time (not until he is 5) and we go back in a year for his 4 year exam. Time is flying by!!

Garden Tea Party
Today was the annual Garden Tea Party with my beautiful daughter at the community center (this is our third year going)! We were both absolutely so excited to go this year! She made a lei, a picture frame, and a bouquet of flowers. When I asked her what her favorite part was, she said it was getting to eat the cookies and cakes :D No surprise there! It was too funny too because we ended up sitting next to the same mom and daughter from last year - too funny! She recognized Carolyn because of her adorable hair. We had such a fun time!
