Snowboarding!

Jacob and I can officially say we have snowboarded!  He planned an awesome date for us :D  We had Sarah come over to watch the kids and Jake and I took off for a private lesson at Buck Hill.  We rented equipment and suited up and had a blast!  We fell a few times and I think in another lesson so I will have it down where I can go solo on the hills.  Seriously - I loved it!! We learned a few lessons about what to wear and now we want to go and get our own stuff.  I hope that we make it a regular thing and can get the kids into some lessons too!  Jake and I then went out for yummy sushi afterwards and then we happened upon a wine tasting at a local wine shop.  It was such an awesome date!!

We survived!!

Christmas Morning!

Santa came and the kids loved everything they got!!  They have not stopped playing yet!  Carolyn is currently crafting a butterfly, Will is playing Disney Infinity and Charlie is rolling his remote control car in a circle but it changes by the minute :D We are having fun all around!  We had coffee cake for breakfast and Jake and I partook in mimosas all morning :D I am making a ham for dinner with baked potatoes and an eggnog cheesecake for dessert!  Happy Holidays everyone!

Christmas Eve

Today was a really fun day!  It started off with me going to get my hair done in -16 temps!  brrr!  We were supposed to go to an Ugly Sweater party at the vG's but they had another stomach bug come through their house so it was cancelled.  We were bummed but we ended up having an awesome day!  I made chili for dinner and made an eggnog pie for Christmas Day.  It looks so yummy and if the batter is any indication - it will be so yummy! After it got dark, we all piled in the car to go look at lights. We either don't know where to go or nobody really decorated because the houses were few and far between around here.  The few that were decorated were not much.  We ended up being out about 30 minutes and then coming home because the snow storm started and we sure didn't want to get caught out in it! The kids loved it though and Will proclaimed the day to be awesome!  I call that a win. The kids then got in their new Christmas jammies and helped set up the stuff for Santa.  Then Jake read the annual tradition of "The Night Before Christmas".  The kids hustled to bed and were so excited for Santa to come.  Charlie kept yelling out from his room asking if Santa had come.  It was so cute!!

Cookies for Santa

The kids were so excited to help me make the cookies for Santa!  We did a basic sugar cookie rolled in sprinkles.  It was fun and super messy!

Will decided to eat his sprinkles and they turned his lips green.  He was not pleased I took a picture :D
