Merry Christmas to All

Christmas is the time of year to spend with your family and boy do I feel lucky. Will's first Christmas was truly magical! Our day started bright and early with some family time just opening presents in front of the tree. Of all the toys and gifts that Will got, his favorite was the apple that was in his stocking. He carried and tossed and gnawed on that thing all day long. It made me laugh. He also loves the magnets on his fridge toy (thanks Aunt Kim and Uncle Zack)! He sticks them on and off over and over again. For lunch we went over and ate a wonderful meal at Will's grandparents (my folks). It was really nice. We hung out with Will's great grandparents and his Great Uncle Gregg. Will wasn't interested at all in opening his gifts this year (yay for me since I love to unwrap) but I imagine next year will be totally different. We had a wonderful day and are thankful for each other and the time we spent on this special holiday.

Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! This year we spent the evening with my grandfather as part of our tradition. All my cousins from my mom's side of the family get together and eat at Freddy's Steakhouse in Sapulpa and then go hang out at my Papa's house. Will got to play with some of his cousins and we had a great time. Now that we are home, Will is all nestled into bed hopefully with sugarplums dancing in his head! I am so excited for tomorrow with Will's First Christmas.

First Steps!!!

My little guy took his first steps for me today!!! It was two steps and it took a lot of encouragement but he totally did it. I was so proud of him and he was proud of himself - you could see it in his eyes. I count this as an early Christmas gift to us. Jake and I are so in love with our little guy :) Oh - and his new favorite thing to do while I am cooking is to play in the kitchen drawers! I snapped a picture:
