Carolyn's last day of Preschool!

One year down another to go!  She loved going to school this year and has learned so much!  She loves to draw and color as well as write stories about her family!  I love her sense of creativity that has just blossomed this year. I am so proud of my little girl.

Owatonna, MN Day Trip

A while back, I got a Livingsocial thing for the Reptile and Amphibian Discovery Zoo (RAD Zoo) down in Owatonna, MN.  It is about an hour and a half south of us.  We decided that yesterday was the perfect day to go!  We all piled in the car and hit the road.  It was so much fun!  The had a ton of snakes, frogs, turtles, and alligators of all shapes and sizes. Charlie was a bit apprehensive at first but after some reassurance from his daddy, he was running all over the place!  Part of the package was getting to have our picture taken with either a big giant snake or an alligator.  Since I have held snakes before, I picked an alligator!  We got to watch them catch it and secure it's mouth so it wouldn't bite us!  It was funny - Carolyn is all leaned back in our pictures because you can't tell but the alligator kept turning it's head right towards her to look at her and if she would have stayed sitting forward, it would have been eye to eye with her.  She wanted none of that!  Although she did pet it.  It felt really rubbery - I had no idea! It was fun!  Then we went to lunch and drove through downtown Owatonna.  They have some beautiful architecture and some neat little things but none of that stuff was open since it was Monday and a holiday.  Before heading home, we hit up the Russel Stover store for some treats :D  We were surprised to see Blue Bell ice cream!  They don't sell it up here so of course Jake and I got a cone.  The kids picked some jelly beans and they were happy campers.  What a fun day trip!

Finally Water Table Time!

So what do kids in Minnesota do once it hits the mid 60's and sunny?  Play in the water! The kids loved it.  I am looking forward to a summer of this!
