We are moving!!
WOOT! We found out yesterday that we are getting an offer to move to Reston, VA with Jake's job. In 2-4 weeks we will get the relocation package info and if it is decent (which we are confident it will be) then we will accept it. I am absolutely excited. For those that do not know - that is right outside of Washington DC. There will be so many fun things for us to do up there and I am ready to start the next chapter of our lives!. It will be a big move and a big change for my family but one that I think will only make us grow together as we venture out on this new life experience. I will let ya'll know more info as we get it as this is all we know right now. Jake will actually be gone to VA for the entire month of February at least (getting to come home on the weekends thankfully) so keep me in mind as I am home with Will all the time without getting any breaks. It will be all mommy all the time and Will is going to miss his daddy as will I. If for some off chance that the offer is not good enough in our eyes to warrant a move so far then we will still be packing up our bags and moving to Houston. Either way - we are moving!!!
Such a big boy!
He is walking everywhere now! He walks more than crawls so I officially can say he is a walker! So exciting. Here are some videos:

Snow Day!!
Will finally got to play today in the snow/sleet/freezing rain we have been getting for 2 days! He wasn't quite sure what to think - he kept trying to catch the snow in his mouth (which is why his mouth is open in the pictures). He also kept trying to lick his gloves that were covered in the stuff too. What a cutie pie!

Breakfast!
Well I decided to let Will feed himself breakfast this morning for the first time. We have really been struggling with getting him to not fight us at every meal so I finally gave this a go. It went better than expected I think. He ate most of his fruit cereal combo that he could manage. He had a great time playing in it too - lol. Needless to say - it was immediately shower time once it was all said and done.

11 Months Old
Jake and I have an 11 month old! Pretty soon he will be a toddler and moving on up. It is really neat to write these monthly updates because when I go back and read them it shows just how much he has changed - especially with the pictures. Right now, one of his favorite games to play is lifting up mommy's shirt and blowing raspberries on her tummy or back. It is so funny and he is absolutely loves to do it. Not to daddy though - too much hair - ha! He is also getting more brave in his walking. He goes further and stronger it seems like every single day. It is really neat to see the progression of his walking. Another of Will's favorite things to do is to bring you a book to read to him or bring you your shoes to put on. I have sat there with two pairs of shoes on my feet because he will wait until I put them on. It makes me laugh! Will also has decided to become a picky eater this past month. He will try something maybe one or two bites of tablefood before he starts spitting it out or throwing it on the floor (unless it is grilled cheese) so we have to give him jars of stage 3 meals. We get him the organic kinds and he atleast eats them. We will keep trying with the tablefoods though. Eventually he will eat them. I wonder what this next month will bring around for him. It seems like each day he is doing new things.
It is officially time to plan a party because the next month entry I will have a ONE YEAR OLD! I do want to give big props to Jake - he made Will's invitation and they look great! Way to go honey - I am proud of your mad skills :)

Will's First Haircut
I finally broke down and took Will to get his first haircut today! We took him to a place called Kuts for Kids and Will got to sit in a car to get his hair cut. He did so well too. He kept trying to look at the guy trying to figure out what was going on. We even got a few smiles out of him while on the hair. They also gave us a neat little certificate as well as a lock of his hair. All in all not too painful for me - I only cried a little once we got back to the car. I am such a softie ;) My little baby is starting to look like a boy all too fast. So handsome!

2009 - Here We Come!
2008 was filled with lots of joy for me. It marked the year my son was born. Last night - as the strike of midnight approached - I sat there and reflected on how my life has changed this year and it made me smile. I am a mommy now! Having William was by far the most rewarding thing I have done in my entire life. I hope that 2009 continues to be just as wonderful and happy. There will be lots that happen this year as well and I am so excited. Things I am looking forward to are watching my baby continue to grow into a person (coolest thing ever), seeing where we all end up, and of course - getting a house of our own. I am counting down the days until I am outta this house and into my own - renting is not for me! I wonder where we will end up - we will all find out in a few months!! Okay - about resolutions. I have two for myself. The first one is to become a better baker. I have the cooking thing down but baking escapes me. I am excited about this one. My second is to continue to grow in my sewing and crafting skills. This year I made all the Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews and it really was fun. The little babies got homemade wooden blocks and onesies that I embroidered on and the bigger kids got crayon rolls. It is such a feeling of accomplishment when I complete a project so I hope to continue to grow my skills and make Will and others lots of cute things. You will have to ask my darling husband for his resloutions - I have no idea that they are - ha! I hope everyone makes 2009 the best year yet - and for me, 2008 was amazing.
Will Walking
Here is a short video of Will taking a few steps. He is getting more daring and has even taken off from the couch without any coaxing or a person on the other end a time or two. He is getting so big!
