Zoo Field Trip with Carolyn

I was able to go with Carolyn's class to the zoo! We had a lot of fun and the weather could not have been any better.  Her class had so many volunteer parents that we were able to walk around with just Carolyn I - although we did end up walking with her friend and her friends mom.  When I asked Carolyn what her favorite part was, she said "lunch" - hahaha!  My guess it was because she got a pizza lunchable - which I had never given them before so she thought it was a super special treat.

Lexi is 36!

Happy birthday to me!  It was wonderful.  Jake took the day off and we went to breakfast after dropping Charlie off at school.  Then we hit up the cross stitch store where I got lots of goodies to make.  Jake and the kids made me a spice cake with cream cheese frosting and it was delicious!  We also ordered chinese food for dinner - one of my faves to eat. I got to open my presents and they were awesome!  Sandee made me the most beautiful Harry Potter quilt!  It is just gorgeous and I am a lucky girl to be loved so much.  Lots went into that quilt.  Jake and the kids got me an awesome gift card to a local plant nursery so that I can go crazy there (I can't wait to go!) and Lego Dimensions - a video game I have been wanting for a long long time.  What an awesome and thoughtful gift!  I had such a great day and feel completely loved :D

Will and the ENT

Will has had a lot of strep throat this year.  5 cases since Oct 19 to be exact.  Poor guy!  Well, we have decided to pursue an ENT and we had his appointment today.  Basically, he said that Will definitely qualified for tonsil and adenoid removal surgery but ultimately left the decision to me.  With how sick he was this year, we decided to go ahead with the surgery.  We are all set up for getting his tonsils and adenoids out this summer!  Lets hope he has a much healthier school year next year!

1st Soccer Game of the Season

Soccer season has officially begun with their first games!  They had a blast and love playing.  Carolyn is on the Orange Fishies, Charlie is on the Silver Seals, and Will's team is the Purple Ninjas.  Charlie and Will play at the same time so Jake and I take turns on who gets to watch which game.  It sure makes it interesting for sure trying to get everyone to where they need to be!

  

 

 

New patio furniture

I absolutely love having a man who can make me things :D Our old patio set was a small bistro set that I had purchased at the rental house.  It was really small and super uncomfortable.  It was time to go!  So I sold that set on facebook and waited for my new set to be completed. I stained them an awesome turquoise and they came out absolutely perfect and just how I imagined.  I love them!

Charlie's Party

It wouldn't be a birthday party without the vG's!  Charlie wanted to eat pizza and for me to make him a a strawberry cake with strawberry icing.  It was so good! He had a blast playing with his friends and being celebrated!

 

 

Charlie is 5!

He is a whole hand now!  I can't believe it! He loves video games, tacos, and all things Minions.  He has a heart of gold and is very sensitive to feelings. Charlie is such a happy little guy and I love being around him - he brightens the room right up! Happy Birthday little guy!
