Happy Halloween!!

I write this as Jake is out with the kids and I am home drinking a beer in the warm heat passing out candy and watching Hocus Pocus :) I think I won that deal! This year, Will wanted to be Pikachu, Carolyn decided on Aurora, and Charlie is a shark!  Both Will and carolyn got to wear their costumes to school too! I am making "ghoulash" for dinner and they had "mummydogs" for lunch!  It has been a very fun day!

Sparklers!

Will has been bugging me for a while to do the sparklers I bought in July.  The problem with the summer is that it doesn't get dark until almost 10, and that is way past bedtime for all of us so we have had to wait until it got darker before bedtime of 7:30.  We are finally there but it has been super chilly in the evenings but last night it was maybe 40 so we gave it a go!  They were scared to hold them at first but eventually they warmed up to the idea of holding fire sticks and didn't want to stop. Of course that meant a big tantrum when done :D Will and Carolyn really got into it and tried to write words with them.  It was fun!

Picking Pumpkins!

We went over to the pumpkin patch today in Chaska to pick some pumpkins!  It was a cool and slightly wet day but we got our pumpkins!  I also picked up a bale of hay and some cornstocks to decorate with!  They barely fit in the van - that was fun to get home with - lol.  Time to decorate some pumpkins!
