Almost Got It

Here are 2 videos of my little man almost crawling! He is so close - time to babyproof!! He knows how to get up on all fours but he isn't quite sure what to do next. He has taken a few crawls forward so anyday now I expect him to just take off. Now he does a combo roll/lurch type thing. We totally already have to watch him though - he can get anywhere, just not as fast as if he was full on crawling. It is fun to watch him because he gets so proud of himself when he does something new. Stay tuned for the official crawling post....

Bathtime Fun

Here is a fun video I took of Will today while he was playing in the tub. I swear he didn't even realize I put the washrag on his head! The little squirt absolutely loves bath time.

Wild Weekend

We had such a good weekend (well Saturday - Sunday we just vegged, but it was good too). We went to the zoo, which is on of my favorite places to go. It was so much fun. This was the first time that Will really was interested in the surroundings. We showed him the seals and the flamingos. We loved looking at all the animals at the rainforest too - even the bats that were swooping over our heads!! We got close to this little monkey thing in the exhibit and it was so cool. It really was the tiniest monkey I have ever seen and I tried to get a picture but of course the minute I get the camera out he ran off :( But the polar bear being out in the water completely made up for it! It really was a blast. Then when we got home Will got to play in his splash pool. He really loves the water (just like his mommy). The good news is that the dogs stay far far away from the water so we don't have to worry about them puncturing the pool with their claws. Here are some pics from our day.

6 Month Stats Are In!!

Will had his 6 month check up today and all is well! His stats are: 28" long (93%), 17lbs10oz (55%) and head circumference of 44.5cm (75%). Basically he is long and lean. He is certainly not a chunky monkey at all. Shot were today too and he handled them like a champ - he only cried for a second until his mommy picked him up. He has also hit all his milestones for his age and the dr. was impressed with how well he sits up on his own! He has a little bit of cradle cap but since his hair is so thick we don't have to do anything for it unless we want to. Cradle cap is essentially baby dandruff and much cuter to say. We also talked about when he can start finger foods - which will be in a few months. As of yesterday, I have started feeding him solids twice a day (breakfast and dinner). I am in no hurry to rush him to eat like us. Dr. Zetik said no nuts or peanut butter until he is 2 for allergy reasons. No other restrictions - just to make sure to cut food super small for when I do decide to start the finger foods due to choking hazards. It is also time for Jake and me to baby proof the house! He has started acting like he is thinking about crawling so I bet within the next month or so he will be into everything! Here is a cute video taken a few days ago - Will is so much fun!

Yesterday's Photo Shoot

Yesterday Leslie came over and did Will's 6 month photo shoot! It was fun and she got some great picts. A sneak preview is already up on her blog. You can peek at http://www.leportraits.blogspot.com/. He is baby "W". She does such a great job and I am so happy to have found her. Jake took a video of a bit of the shoot too. It was fun!

Rolling Videos & Fun Picts

Here area few videos of Will rolling from front to back. These were taken Sunday and since he has learned how to do it it is not stop! It is fun to watch because he doesn't really do it with a purpose. He does it just to do it. Once he can't go any further, Jake and I will move him back and he is off again! Too cute. Attached are also some picts from Will's time with his Grandpa Bert and some other cute shots.

Will is 6 Months Old!

Holy Cow!! It does not seem like it has been 6 months since giving birth to my little man. It has flown by way too fast. I assume he weighs about 18 lbs at least but since his a 6mth appt isn't until the middle of August I have no idea. I will post his stats when I get them. I have been offering him more homemade baby foods and he is not too keen on them. He hates the green beans and the bananas - even when I mix them in with breastmilk. I will keep trying though in hopes that he gets used to the texture. Eventually he will - I hope he ends up not being a picky eater!! He loves carrots and sweet potatoes though. He now tries to roll and roll and roll and is getting pretty good at rolling. He mastered rolling from his back for a while now but is just now getting the hang of front to back! It is so cute to watch him try and he is so proud of himself when he succeeds. He also has started saying "lalalalala" and it is so adorable when he does it. It is hard to describe how he does it but it is cute! This photo shoot was a fun one. It took him a bit to realize that there was paper next to him (he was distracted by the bear) but once he did he wanted to eat it. When I finally took it away from him he cried. Lol! I have added the pictures of the progression of the shoot. Happy 1/2 Birthday my beautiful son!!!

Molly Ann Wiley

Adopted 4/22/00. With us until 8/4/08. What a sweet dog you were and I will miss you incredibly. I got you for my 20th birthday and I will never forget they joy you brought to me. All the late nights you stayed up with me in college while I was doing homework and the oh so many pillows you destroyed! You always made me laugh. You always knew when I was blue and came to cheer me up. You had such a sweet personality. You were the only one I could train to do all those cool tricks and I enjoyed watching you dance for your food. You always brought a smile to my face and I will miss you so much. You were spoiled rotten and I wouldn't have changed your life with us in any other way. I love you Molly.
