1 week old!

I took Carolyn in for her 1 week appt and all is well! She weighed 8lbs 7oz (50%) and is growing like a weed already. I don't think the length measurements are exactly right but they said she was 21" long (75%). That would mean she grew 3 inches in a week. But whatever. He was very pleased with her weight gain since last Friday. It helped that my milk finally came in and the fact that she likes to eat every 2 hours and sometimes more when she cluster feeds. We don't have to go back to the doctor until she is 2 months old.

Nights are going well for us. She eats every 3 hours so we do get some sleep. I think I am getting more now than I did at the end of my pregnancy. Will is also still adjusting well. He is trying to get used to his mama having divided attention, bless his heart, but when I see how much he loves his sister it makes it better for me. He loves loves loves to give her kisses and on Monday he asked to hold her. It was so awesome. Yesterday I was upstairs rocking Carolyn and Will climbed right up on my lap and I was rocking both of them. That was truly special to me. Here are a few pictures I have taken - my kids are so dang cute.

A Busy Week!

We are adjusting well as a family of four! Recovery this time around for me is hands down so much easier. It is also a huge relief for me to see that Will is adjusting just fine to his baby sister. He loves to give her kisses and to name her face parts (lol). We are working on him being gentle with her but we will get there. We are still pretty tired but hey - she usn't even a week old so that is to be expected. I am so busy with her that it is hard for me to post as often but I will try to be better. Just know we are doing well and we love the new addition to the family - she is precious :)

We are doing great and breastfeeding is going really well. The labor was pretty rough for me (not for her) but it was so worth it. We are so in love!!!
