Ava turned 5!
Saturday was Ava's birthday party! We had a blast and on the way home, Will says "Daddy, I had a lot of fun".They got to play at a splash pad, get their faces painted, and got animal balloons! Will got a monster truck on his arm and Lightening McQueen on his face while Carolyn had a butterfly painted on her arm. Will got a giraffe on a leash and an antennae hat. Carolyn got a sunflower hat and a flower. They were wore out by the time we got home!

Touch-A-Truck
Today was Chaska's Touch-A-Truck event at the local community center. They had all kinds of trucks that the city uses and Will was super excited to see the fire truck! The kids were able to climb and sit in all kinds of things! Of course, once they saw the small pile of snow in front of the zamboni, they were hooked. It was hard to get them away from it! If only they understood that in a few months we will have feet of snow for several months - lol. It was a fun little event. I really like living in a small town!

Irish Fair
Today was the Irish fair of Minnesota! It was at Harriet Park in St. Paul. The park was absolutely beautiful - right on the river. I found out about this little Fair when their food/drink coupons came up on Groupon so I bought them! It turned out to be really fun! They had music, dancing, and all kinds of info about Irish heritage and Ireland. The kids loved running around and drinking their lemonade smoothies. Carolyn kept trying to trade hers out for Will's since his had more in it - lol. She is really getting good at riling him up. It is pretty funny. Oh - Will also used a port-o-potty for the first time! I am so not looking forward to that when Carolyn is potty trained. Yuck! Anywho - the weather was beautiful (mid 70's) and we are already looking forward to going back next year!
Worst mascot ever - a cup of urine (advertising same day drug testing)
